Brazos Heritage Society Contributes to Boonville Days

On October 5, 2013, the 8th Annual Boonville Days – Living History Fair was held at the Brazos Center.  This event, orchestrated by the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, highlighted life in historic Boonville and provided opportunities to learn about the history of Brazos County.  In addition, a number of organizations – many of which were service organizations – were present.  A number of members of the Brazos Heritage Society were also present and contributed to this learning experience

Nat Hilliard, Immediate Past President of the Society, showed how butter was churned, which was a big hit with attendees.  In addition, Sheila Fields, Research Chair, had an informative display about the history of Boonville.  Randy and Stephanie Hilliard, Event Co-Chairs, were present and provided information about the Society.

Dan Beto, the Society’s President, took a number of photographs during the day, many of which may be seen in the Smilebox below.
